Welcome to first grade! I am looking forward to working with you to help your children become as independent as they can be!
Please feel free to volunteer time to read to us, share your experiences and talents, and assist us with learning in the classroom. Your creative ideas are welcomed!
Informative letters are sent home with each reading "theme", and information labels are put inside students' homework folders, which list current skills to review and practice. I also write notes to you on the students' papers to explain children's needs. (Please feel free to make comments on students' assignments/tests, as well!)
Thank you for assisting your children with daily "Book It!" reading assignments so that they may receive a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut each month. Thank you, also, for reviewing the vocabulary in the Vocabulary Journals daily.
We must work together to help the students develop self confidence to achieve their highest level of success!
