• Text Message e-Alerts

Posted by Phillip Crisostomo at 2/22/2013
At JC Stuart Elementary School, we keep in contact with parents through email and text messaging alerts. In order to sign up for email alerts, please return the JC Stuart e-Alert Form to the main office. Once you have done so, you will receive an email from the school district creating an account on our website, and then you can sign up for text messaging alerts. If you already have an account, and have received e-Alerts from JC Stuart Elementary School, you can click here to find directions for setting up text messaging alerts.

  • Improving Parent-School Communication

Posted by Phillip Crisostomo at 12/14/2012

During the 2012-2013 school year, one of our focal points as a school is to improve the way we use technology, not only as we teach in classrooms, but also in the way that we communicate to parents. We would like to include you in the process as we work to improve the way we share information about your child and about our school.

There are four forms that went home today:
    • School e-Alert Form: We will be working to pilot an e-Alert system in the district that allows us to pass on important information about our school via emails and/or text messaging. Returning this form will allow you to sign up for an account to receive those messages. We will send no more than 5 text messages/per month unless there is an emergency; you will also have the option to unenroll in text message alerts.
    • Renaissance Place Portal Access Form: (Grades 2-5): This allows you the opportunity to sign up for access to view your child’s progress on Accelerated Reader, STAR Reader, and Accelerated Math.
    • Media Release Form: By signing this form, this would allow the school and district to use pictures and video of your child in various forms of media, including on our updated school website.
    • Genesis Parent Portal Access Form: This allows you the opportunity to sign up for access to Genesis, which is our student information system. You would be able to access your child’s attendance, grades, and report cards electronically.

Please return these forms as soon as possible to your child’s teacher. We look forward to using these forms of technology to improve the way we communicate with you about your child’s progress in school.
