Congratulations! 2009/2010 Teacher of the Year: Shirley Nesmith

Willingboro High School was recommended for re-accreditation from the AFG- Accreditation for Growth (Middle States) Committee. An oral report was presented to the community regarding Willingboro High School on Friday, April 18th 2008.

We would like to thank all of the hardworking faculty and staff that made this accomplishment possible.

Important Information for Parents:

Student Drop Off: Please be advised that in an effort to make our school as safe as possible for everyone, all students are to enter by way of the student (back) parking lot.  Please do not drop students off at the front entrance, as they will no longer be permitted to enter the building from that entrance.

Student I. D. Cards: Please note that all secondary students will be issued an identification card.  All students must display their I.D. card on their person while in the school building or on school grounds.  No one will be permitted to obtain a pass without the proper I.D. card.  Designated students permitted to ride school buses must use their I.D. card as a bus pass.  Students who lose their I.D. cards will be issued a new I.D. and charged a replacement fee.

Book Bag Restrictions: In an effort to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors on school property the school administrators of the secondary schools have been authorized to restrict the carrying of book bags during the school day.  Students will place any book bag, knapsack or backpack in their locker before reporting to homeroom and upon the end of the school day may leave school with their bag.  Only clear vinyl or mesh bags have been approved by the school administration for in school use.

Student Dress Code Policy: The uniform dress code is being implemented primarily as a way to improve the school learning environment.  It is intended to provide an equal clothing status to all of our children, and allow students to focus on the educational process  rather than a fashion statement. Students will be required to dress in a manner that reflects good taste, modesty and appropriateness for an educational learning environment.  Please see our dress code policy for appropriate dress rules for WHS.

Parents may now purchase student uniform shirts in light blue or black; short or long sleeve at Sports Paradise. Sports Paradise is located at 4230 Route 130 North, in Willingboro NJ. (609 877-1826.  Or you can go on line at www.sportsparadise.net.   The cost is $16.00 for short sleeve and $19.00 for long sleeve. Sizes XXL or larger will be priced slightly higher.

Cell Phones Restrictions: Students are not permitted to utilize cell phones, mp3, CD or other listening devices during the school day.  Students caught utilizing unauthorized electronic devices during the school day risk the chance of having their equipment confiscated and held until it can be safely returned to a parent.

Parents -These policies are being implemented with the safety and welfare of all of our children in mind.  Please help us maintain a safe and effective learning environment by supporting our efforts. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and we look forward to having a productive and positive school year with all of our students.

WHS shirts for faculty and staff are available at Sports Paradise 4230 Route 130 N., Willingboro; 609-877-1826. Or go on line at www.sportsparadise.net, choose Willingboro High School and enter the password.
