On Friday, August 6, 2021, Governor Murphy announced that the 2021-2022 school year will begin with a mask mandate for all staff, students, and visitors of all public schools in New Jersey. Therefore, children will be required to wear a mask while in school and on a school district bus.

Our Safe Return Plan will not require revisions as the plan includes a mask mandate for the 2021-2022 school year.

The district must make provisions for the following:

  1.  Participating in Physical Education class
  2. Eating breakfast and lunch
  3. Students whose disability prevents mask-wearing
  4. Participating in Music class

An update will be provided on these 4 areas shortly.  The district will continue to issue two black masks to students per month. Only these masks can be worn with the exception of students in the ECDC schools.
