Hawthorne Park Elementary School

The student material distribution that was scheduled for February 3rd and 4th is being rescheduled. The new dates are February 10th and 11th (next week) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This change was due to the recent inclement weather.

We will resume our synchronous learning remote instruction today, Tuesday, February 2, 2021. All students should report to homeroom at their regularly scheduled time. District buildings will be closed. Breakfast and lunch distribution will take place on February 2, 2021, at Levitt Intermediate School only from 8: 00 am to 2:00 p.m.

Due to the inclement weather and its potential impact on internet connectivity, the district will be closed tomorrow, February 1, 2021, for a snow day. All classes will be canceled and breakfast and lunch will not be distributed.

On February 3rd and 4th we will be hosting a student instructional material and book donation give away. Families of 1st and 2nd graders can pick-up the materials on Wednesday, February 3rd from 10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Families of 3rd and 4th graders can pick-up materials on Thursday, February 4th from 10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. The materials will be distributed through the multi-purpose/lunch room. Please be aware that on Monday, November 23, 2020, at 10:00 pm, we will be conducting a test of our notification system. This is not an emergency situation, rather, this is a drill designed to monitor and ensure the functionality of our notification system in accordance with the New Jersey Department of Education Office of Preparedness and Emergency Planning.
