The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that teaching and learning can occur without entering a school building. When you consider the growing ubiquity of online tutorials and masterclasses, the value of brick and mortar education becomes even more debatable. Does schooling have to occur in-person for it to be quality? Should the promise of public education include the internet as a public good?
