This is a friendly reminder about the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences and half days of school for students in ECDC, Elementary Schools, and James A. Cotten Intermediate School (Grades Pre-K–6).

Half Days of School

Students will have half days on the following dates to allow time for conferences:

- Thursday, March 19
- Friday, March 20
- Monday, March 23
- Tuesday, March 24

Afternoon Conference Dates

Parent-Teacher conferences will take place March 19 through March 24.

Evening Conference Schedule

Evening conferences will be held on the following dates:

- Thursday, March 19 – ECDC & James A. Cotten Intermediate School
- Monday, March 23 – Hawthorne Park Elementary & Twin Hills Elementary
- Tuesday, March 24 – W.R. James Elementary School

Parent-Teacher Conferences provide an important opportunity for families and teachers to discuss student progress, share insights, and strengthen the partnership that supports student success.

We are pleased to share that power has been fully restored for J.C. Stuart at Twin Hills, and the school will now operate on a regular schedule. This includes:

- Regular school day for students and staff
- Before-care and after-care programs will run as scheduled
- All extracurricular activities will take place as planned

Thank you for your patience this morning.

It has been determined that power will not be restored in time ahead of the two-hour delay, and the decision has been made to cancel classes for today at J.C. Stuart ECDC at Twin Hills. This includes all after-school activities and after-care programs.

We sincerely appreciate your continued understanding as we take these necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and staff. More information will be provided as soon as we have more details.

Dear J.C. Stuart ECDC Parents and Guardians at Twin Hills,

Due to last evening’s storm, a power outage has occurred at Twin Hills. As a result, the school will operate on a two-hour delay today.

Our Directors of Operations and Facilities are actively coordinating with PSE&G to assess the full extent of the outage and determine next steps.

Please be advised that, depending on the status of the power restoration, there is a possibility that the school day may be canceled for J.C. Stuart students. We will provide updates to families as soon as additional information becomes available.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students, teachers, and staff.
