RSVP Today: Superintendent’s Listening, Learning & Leading Tours

Dear Families and Scholars of Willingboro Township Public Schools,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

On behalf of Willingboro Township Public Schools, I am excited to welcome our scholars and families back for another year of learning, discovery, growth, and achievement. Whether your family has been part of Willingboro for many years or you are joining our school community for the first time, we are pleased to have you with us.

Every new school year brings new possibilities. For our scholars, it is an opportunity to set new goals, develop new talents, build meaningful relationships, explore new interests, and continue discovering just how much they are capable of achieving. For our families, it is another opportunity to partner with our teachers, staff, and school leaders as we work together to support the success and well-being of every scholar.

As your Superintendent, one of my most important priorities is to ensure that our scholars are receiving a high-quality education. As I aim to learn more about our district, I will engage during my first 90 days by listening, learning, and leading through visits to our schools, conversations with scholars and staff, meetings with families and community partners, and opportunities to hear directly from those we serve. What I learn through this process will help inform our work as we continue strengthening teaching, learning, and improving our schools, and creating opportunities for every scholar to succeed.

This school year also marks an important period of progress and transition for Willingboro Township Public Schools. As many of our families know, the Willingboro community approved a bond referendum that is supporting necessary updates to our schools while also enhancing the safety, security, and functionality of our buildings for scholars and staff. Families should remain mindful that construction and renovation work may be taking place at some of our school buildings throughout the school year; however, teaching and learning will not be compromised. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this important work continues. Please know that the safety and security of our scholars, staff, and families remain our highest priority during this time.

In addition, the district is realigning our schools and programs to ensure that the educational needs of every scholar are being met. This realignment is designed to optimize class composition, improve resource allocation, strengthen the use of our facilities, and enhance the educational experience for all students. We recognize that changes of this nature may bring questions, and we are committed to continuing to support our families throughout this process.

At the center of that work is our district vision:

Reach Individual Scholar Excellence — R.I.S.E.

R.I.S.E. represents our commitment to seeing the potential in every scholar and providing the learning experiences, encouragement, high expectations, and support necessary for that potential to grow.

Families, your partnership is essential. We encourage you to remain engaged throughout the school year, communicate regularly with your scholar’s teachers and school, attend school and district events, and take advantage of opportunities to share your thoughts and ideas. Strong schools are built through strong partnerships, and your voice matters.

Scholars, I want you to know that we believe in you. Come to school on time and ready to learn each day, and read for at least 20 minutes every day. We expect you to ask questions, challenge yourself, support one another, and take advantage of the opportunities available to you. Remember that every day counts, and each day is an opportunity to grow, learn, and move closer to your goals. Your ideas, experiences, talents, and dreams are an important part of The Willingboro Township Public Schools’ Story.

I look forward to seeing you in our classrooms, hallways, activities, athletic events, performances, and throughout the Willingboro community this year.

Together, let us make the 2026–2027 school year, one of achievement, connection, opportunity, and Chimera pride.

Welcome back!

Educationally yours,
André D. Spencer, Ed.D.
