Dear Chimera Community,
Willingboro Public Schools is proud to celebrate District Autism Awareness & Acceptance Week from April 20th through April 24th. This special week is dedicated to promoting understanding, inclusion, and appreciation for individuals with autism across our school community.
We invite all students, staff, and families to participate in a week full of spirit, fun, and meaningful activities:
Monday, April 20 – “Shine a Light on Strengths” Day
Wear bright or neon colors, or something that helps you stand out and celebrate individual strengths.
Tuesday, April 21 – “Sensory-Friendly" Day
Wear comfortable, sensory-friendly clothing such as soft fabrics, hoodies, or sneakers.
Wednesday, April 22 – “Celebrate Differences” Day
Wear mismatched or unique outfits to highlight individuality and diversity.
Thursday, April 23 – “Kindness Counts” Day
Wear shirts with positive messages about kindness, inclusion, and respect, or your favorite school spirit gear.
Friday, April 24 – “Team Inclusion” Day
Wear your favorite team jersey to show unity and remind us that we are all on the same team.
This week is an opportunity for our entire community to come together in support of acceptance, empathy, and inclusion. We encourage everyone to participate and help create a positive and welcoming environment for all. Remember to check the district events calendar each day during the week to keep track of each day's activities here: willingboroschools.org/events.
Thank you for your continued support in making Willingboro Public Schools a place where every student is valued and celebrated.
Warm regards,
Willingboro Township Public Schools
