Greetings, Garfield East Families!
Thank you for an awesome first day of school! It was wonderful to see everyone, and we are excited about the great year ahead. If you captured any special first-day pictures, please share them with us by sending them to your child’s teacher.
As we prepare for our first full week of school, here are a few friendly reminders:
Parking Lot Safety: Please be courteous, patient, and safe while driving through the parking lot. The safety of our scholars, families, and staff is our priority.
Breakfast Arrival – 8:20 AM: Doors will open at 8:20 AM for scholars who will be eating breakfast only. Parents/guardians do not need to stay.
Regular Drop-Off – 8:50 AM: If your child will not be eating breakfast, please arrive for drop-off at 8:50 AM.
Pre-K Arrival: All Pre-K students will meet in the designated area adjacent to the blacktop.
Kindergarten & First Grade Arrival: All Kindergarten and First Grade students will meet on the blacktop.
Second & Third Grade Arrival: All Second and Third Grade students will enter through the Multipurpose Room.
All scholars should have been sent home with their Friday journal, they will bring this home every Friday. If you child did not bring one home this past Friday, check with their teacher.
Dismissal – 3:30 PM: We are now on our regular school schedule, with dismissal at 3:30 PM. Bus and after-care students will follow their regular dismissal procedures. All grades will be dismissed from the Multipurpose Room.
