On Thursday, October 2, Memorial Middle School hosted its first-ever Parent University, welcoming over 40 parents and guardians for an evening of learning, partnership, and purpose.
Parent University was born from a simple but powerful moment — a phone call from a parent who wanted more ways to support her child academically. She asked for tools, guidance, and a stronger bridge between home and school. By the end of the evening, that same parent shared that Parent University was exactly what she’d been asking for — a space where families are seen, equipped, and empowered.
During the session, families learned about:
What students are studying this year across all subjects
How to use our Family Toolkits to spark learning at home
Free websites, apps, and community resources for continued support
The purpose of Parent University — to strengthen the connection between school and home so every student can thrive
We’re grateful to the families who joined us for this strong start and to the teachers who helped facilitate the conversation.
The full Parent University dashboards and toolkits will be posted on our website soon for families who were unable to attend.
Together, we’re building a culture of partnership, where families and educators work side by side to cultivate the genius of our children.
🖤 Memorial Pride continues.
